Terms of Use.
The ground rules for using Mending Minds and holding an account.
Last updated: [DATE, set at publication]
Agreement
By using mendingminds.org, you agree to these terms. The site is operated by ADAM, the Anxiety and Depression Association for Men, a nonprofit, doing business as Mending Minds.
Eligibility
Mending Minds is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or take part in any community feature.
Not medical care
Mending Minds provides educational content, guided audio practices, and links to outside directories for finding professional help. Peer community features are in development. None of this is therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service. Nothing on this site replaces care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741, both free and available 24/7.
Membership and donations
There are three membership levels. Community is free and has no card, no trial period, and nothing to cancel. Member ($12 a month or $115 a year) and Premium ($29 a month or $278 a year) are optional paid levels. Creating an account starts you on Community.
Paid billing is not open yet. Until it is, you can reserve a founding spot for a paid level. A reservation charges nothing, commits you to nothing, and can be changed or removed in your account settings. We will email you before billing opens.
When billing opens, paid plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until you cancel. You can cancel online from your account settings at any time, with no fee. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, then return to Community. We will email you before an annual plan renews. Payments are processed by Stripe. Membership fees pay for services and are not charitable donations. [Placeholder for legal review before billing opens: automatic renewal disclosures and consent, renewal reminder timing, refund policy for partial periods, price change notice, and reduced-rate terms.]
Donations are separate from membership and are processed by Stripe. [Placeholder: confirm donation refund and receipt language at launch.]
Community conduct
These standards apply to anything you submit through the site now and to community features when they open. They exist so men can speak honestly without being judged, mocked, or exposed. So: treat others with respect, no harassment or hate, no sharing another member's identity or posts outside the community, no spam or solicitation, and no presenting yourself as a clinician if you are not one. We moderate to protect the space, and we can remove content or accounts that put it at risk.
Your content
What you submit remains yours. By submitting content, whether a contact message, a story, or a post once community features open, you give us the limited permission needed to display it where you intended and to operate the service. We do not use member content for marketing without explicit consent.
Our content
The Mending Minds and ADAM names, branding, site content, and member resources belong to the organization and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission. The Guided Resets library is provided for personal use by account holders and may not be redistributed.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or end accounts that violate these terms, with the goal of protecting the community rather than punishing people.
Disclaimers and liability

Governing law
